Yn dilyn ymddiswyddiad diweddar y Cynghorydd Tref Chris Jones, mae swydd wag achlysurol wedi’i datgan yn swydd Cynghorydd Tref Ward y Dwyrain.

Mae hwn yn gyfle i alw am etholiad i’r swydd wag o gynghorydd tref.

Ychwanegodd Clerc y Dref, Ed Humphreys, “Mae cyngor eich tref, fel rhan o ddemocrasia cynrychiadol, yn cynnwys y bobl y mae’r gymuned yn eu hethol i wneud penderfyniadau’n lleol, ar ei rhan ac er ei lles gorau. Os oes gennych syniadau i helpu i wneud y gymuned hon yn lle gwell i fyw, dysgu, gweithio, neu ymweld ag ef, ac yn teimlo eich bod yn gallu perswadio eraill o’u budd dros eu cost, dyma eich cyfle. Fodd bynnag, mae’n bwysig cydnabod bod y cyfle hwn yn ymestyn y tu hwnt i alw am etholiad yn unig; mae’n wahoddiad i ystyried sefyll fel cynghorydd tref. Mae’r rôl hon yn cynnig y cyfle i gyfrannu’n weithredol at lesiant eich tref, i gynrychioli’r lleisiau amrywiol o fewn eich cymuned, ac i weithio’n gydweithredol tuag at ddyfodol mwy disglair i bawb”.

Cynhelir etholiad os rhoddir cais ysgrifenedig am etholiad i’r Dirprwy Swyddog Canlyniadau gan DDEG etholwr ar gyfer yr ardal etholiadol o fewn 14 diwrnod gwaith i gyhoeddi’r datganiad.

Dylid anfon cais drwy lythyr / post at:

Hoffai Cyngor Tref Y Drenewydd a Llanllwchaearn fynegi ei ddiolchgarwch i Chris am yr amser a’r ymdrech y mae wedi’i roi i bobl cymuned Y Drenewydd a Llanllwchaearn yn ei rôl fel Cynghorydd Tref.

Following the recent resignation of Town Councillor Chris Jones, a casual vacancy has been declared in the office of Town Councillor for West Ward.

This is an opportunity to call for an election for the vacant post of town councillor.

Town Clerk, Ed Humphreys, added “Your town council, as part of a representative democracy, is composed of the people the community elects to make decisions locally, on its behalf, and in the best interests of its residents. If you have ideas to help make this community a better place to live, learn, work, or visit, and if you feel able to persuade others of their benefit over their cost, this is your opportunity. However, it’s important to recognise that this opportunity extends beyond simply calling for an election; it is an invitation to consider standing as a town councillor. This role offers the chance to actively contribute to your town’s well-being, to represent the diverse voice within your community, and to work collaboratively towards a brighter future for all”.

An election will be held if, within 14 working days of the publication of the notice, a request in writing for an election is given to the Deputy Returning Officer by TEN electors for the electoral area.

A request should be sent by letter / post to:

Deputy Returning Officer
